Senator Antonio Trillanes directly criticize Duterte on his promise before the election to suppress criminality and illegal drgs in the country. This happened after the President said he might suspend writ of habeas corpus. Although he is not absolute on declaring it, he insisted that it is the key to stop lawlessness happening in Mindanao.
"Akala ko ba 3 to 6 months lang? Anyari?" said the senator on his press conference last Wednesday. Trillanes is known to be one of critics of Duterte during the campaign questioning his capabilities and ways to run the country. Together with De Lima and other Liberal Party members, they are fighting for human rights in the senate.
